With the ATO and ASIC now scrutinising SMSF auditors, along with ongoing competency standards and ever changing legislation, this training event is an excellent opportunity to update your knowledge in this specialised area.
The one day seminar will cover the following areas applicable to 2017 SMSF audits:
• A refresher on the requirements of the auditing standards under Clarity (as updated and effective from December, 2016);
• Review of financial statement audit procedures and requirements;
• A review of the competency standards as required by ASIC;
• SIS compliance review, including discussion on audit procedures and common compliance issues, including limited recourse borrowing arrangements and personal use assets;
• Discussion on the mandatory auditor reporting to the ATO; and
• Trust deed considerations.
We will also be discussing the implications to the audit of the May, 2016 budget changes.
This seminar has been designed to cover the latest changes together with an overview of all the audit requirements, audit procedures and areas of concern for auditors and will be an excellent refresher for yourselves or a valuable training day for your staff to ensure you and your team remain up to date.
